About Homeopathy
Homeopathy is a gentle, highly effective system of natural medicine
which works by stimulating our body's own repair and restorative
mechanisms. It's a completely different way of treating the variety
of health issues that can take the smile off our face and the spring
out of our step.
We all go through ups and downs. Sometimes we feel in tip-top
condition, ready to take on the world. And there are plenty of
occasions when we have no excuse to dive under the nearest duvet but
nevertheless simply don't feel right. So whether you feel rotten or
just out of kilter, Homeopathy can help by looking at you and not
just your symptoms.
A symptom, after all is only an outward indication of imbalance and
two people with identical symptoms don't necessarily require the
same treatment. Homeopathy's all about understanding the whole
person in their uniqueness and not just focusing on the one small
part of them that's causing the problem. Homeopathy endeavours to
search for, and treat, the cause of the disease.
Everything that makes you who you are can contribute to a health
issue and can be equally vital in resolving it. Taking into account
all aspects of your life and life-style often means that treating
one condition will heighten your overall level of health. Sound too
good to be true?
. For example by sorting out your recurring headaches Homeopathy
could bring about an improvement in your digestion, vitality, focus
and mood. You would be less likely to find yourself trawling through
the medicine cabinet in the middle of the night in pursuit of
paracetamol.
Homeopathic medicine is safe, non-toxic, non-addictive and can be
used on its own or integrated with conventional medicine. The range
of conditions successfully treated with these natural medicines
include fatigue, eczema, asthma, circulatory problems, digestive
disorders, allergies, autoimmune disorders, hormonal imbalances,
fertility and emotional issues such as depression and anxiety.
Why not come along, have a chat and see if it can help you?

About Me
Dawn cheerfully admits to being one of life's unrepentant helpers
and it's this that has always governed her career directions. Being
born and raised in Africa until age 14 also gave her a singular and
not always welcome insight into health and social issues and a
determination to make differences wherever possible.
With a Double Honours degree in Biology and Psychology, she joined a
team at Kings College Hospital researching innovative immunological
oncology before furthering her knowledge with a course at London
University. Her specialist skills took her to Great Ormond Street
Institute of Child Health and groundbreaking work in specific
childhood tumours.
Analysing lab data was pretty uncomplicated, she comments, when
compared to accompanying consultants to often emotional meetings
with patients and their family. Despite the international
recognition the team was by this time receiving, Dawn was concerned
that concentration on the pathology of the disease often excluded
acknowledgement of the individuality of patients - a view since
borne out by the increase of alternative treatments utilised
nowadays alongside conventional medicine.
Around about this time, suffering from a bout of stress-induced
insomnia, Dawn visited a homeopath. The practitioner's holistic
approach meshed immediately with her existing interests in healthy
nutrition, exercise and the patient as a whole and the remedies she
was sent away with that day, not only worked wonderfully well, but
changed her career path dramatically.
Dawn hit the books again as well as the lecture trail and was soon
expanding her knowledge base on the process of disease rather than
just the pathology of the end result. In 1998, following a four year
course she qualified as a professional Homeopath.
A mother of two daughters she is, she says, grateful for the
blessing of a husband totally supportive of her practicing
homeopathy at the same time as bringing up the girls. As the
children have grown and flourished on Dawn's remedies, so too have
her Homeopathic Practices, one in Kings Langley, Herts the other in
Marylebone, central London.
